Awards Earned by FCHS Students:

• Congratulations to Chris "Bob" Zietlow and  Keven McMahan for being awarded NA Rotary Club Scholarships.

• Accolades to the 2006-2007 Valedictorian, Anna Wade, and Salutatorian, Dillon Edwards.

• Felicia Carroll's poem, "Wonderland" was selected to be in the Top Ten of Creative Communications.
  Good Job!

• Other recognitions received by FCHS English Department Students through participating in competitions at the Nancy Carson Library:  Tim Thomas (senior) won first place during the fall with his ghost story; recently Amber Anderson (senior) won first place in a poetry competition and Jeffrey Williams (freshman) won second place in the poetry competition.

• Congratulations to Josh Duncan!  Josh has been accepted to the SC Governor's School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville, SC.  Josh was selected from among 213 very competitive applicants.

• Edgefield County School District-Fox Creek High School Academic Excellence 2006-2007 School Year: awarded to Keven McMahan and Anna Wade.

• Congratulations to Nick Jenkins for being in the top seven in the Midlands Regional "Poetry Out Loud" Competition.  Nick did an outstanding job while competing with some of the best poetry recitations in the state!
