Fox Creek Swim Team Wins One and Ties One

 Fox Creek swim team competed in a Double Dual Meet Tuesday, 9/18/07, against Mid-Carolina and Newberry High Schools.  Fox Creek Girls out scored Newberry Girls 92 to 49 and tied with Mid-Carolina Girls 84 to 84.  The Girls’ relay teams won the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Style Relay and took second 200 Free Style Relay.  Brittany Gobat won the 200 IM and the 100 Breast Stroke and Katie Duncan won the 400 Yard Free Style.  We had strong swimming from the entire team with several top 5 finishes.  Our Boys’ team took first place in the 100 Free Style (Stetson Turner) and second in the 100 Breast Stroke (Stetson Turner) with Allen Bee placing in the top 5 of the 50 Free Style.

Our swim team has their last regular season meet next week when will be swimming in a mini-invitational at our home pool.  Then we are on to the State Meet.  We have three girls that have already qualified for individual events and all three girls relay teams have qualified for State.  On the boys’ side Stetson Turner has two consideration times and hopefully will make it into the State Meet also.
